We do things a little different than some other CrossFit Gyms. We don’t have an On Ramp or Foundations Class. Instead you’ll first meet one-on-one with one of our certified trainers to discuss your fitness goals and then jump right in to a group class.

 

At CrossFit Central LI we believe the best way to learn and become proficient at CrossFit is to begin taking the group classes from day one. We have found that everyone adapts much better to the CrossFit lifestyle when they begin the classes with others who have been doing CrossFit for a long time. Don’t worry it’s not like a martial arts class where you’ll be getting beat up by higher ranking martial artist on your first day. We are an exercise program, that’s it.

 

CrossFit is definitely the most efficient way to get into the shape you want to be in as quickly as possible but it is still an exercise program and anyone can begin with a group class without taking a fundamentals course.

 

Despite what you have seen and heard about CrossFit we will not force you to do heavy weights or force you to do anything you are not able to do until you are able to move efficiently through the movements without the possibility of getting injured.

 

Crossfit Syosset is the first ever CrossFit establishment on Long Island. We have been in business for over 7 years and throughout that time we have built up a great community of members that are all interested in seeing the gym and everyone in it do well. This is why we require that you work hard and treat everyone including the gym with respect from the first time you step into the gym.
