IS IT JUST A LEARNED BEHAVIOR, OR ARE YOU USING FOOD FOR COMFORT?
THE FORMER IS EASY TO FIX. FIRST, YOU NEED TO UNDERSTAND THAT IT IS A LEARNED BEHAVIOR AND AS MUCH AS WE WOULD LIKE TO BELIEVE ALL THE BEHAVIORS WE HAVE LEARNED OVER TIME ARE GOOD, SORRY TO SAY, THEY’RE NOT.
EVEN SOME OF THE LEARNED BEHAVIORS THAT DON’T HAVE TO DO WITH OVEREATING ARE NOT GOOD.
IT’S SIMPLE, LET’S USE THE EXAMPLE OF SITTING ON THE COUCH AT NIGHT AFTER EATING DINNER AND SUDDENLY FEELING RAVENOUS FOR SOME SUGAR.
THIS TYPE OF THINKING IS CALLED, “I’M A FAT BASTARD AND I NEED MORE FOOD EVEN THOUGH I JUST STUFFED MY FACE AT DINNER, AND AFTER I HAVE SOME SHIT OUT OF THE CUPBOARD, I’M GONNA GO FOR SOMETHING ELSE AND SOMETHING ELSE AFTER THAT CAUSE I’M A FAT BASTARD.” THIS WAY OF THINKING ONLY LEADS TO POOR BEHAVIOR.
UNLESS YOU’RE ON THE SHOT. FROM WHAT I HEAR, BEING ON THE SHOT ALL YOU HEAR IS, YOU’RE NOT A FAT BASTARD AND YOU’RE NOT HUNGRY, SO DON’T EAT ANYTHING YOU FAT BASTARD.
HERE’S HOW YOU CHANGE THE COUCH BEHAVIOR.
STOP FUCKIN EATING AT NIGHT AFTER DINNER!!
IT’S THAT FUCKIN SIMPLE, JUST DON’T DO IT! TRY IT AND WATCH WHAT HAPPENS OVER TIME.
